The Great Dionysus Project
To describe the project in words is this was a huge calibration with everyone having there own jobs. Picking a story with the most votes and create something. A play is that something and some of the roles where actors, painters, director and prop makers, writers. This project was based on being able to make a play or tragedy that showed a social issue with a stage and lines to learn to make the issue come across right.
The social issue in the play was pressure from family to be perfect and that sometimes alone can lead someone away not close. There is also much peer pressure from friends and wanting to be the girl who takes risks but that only came with bad consequences. I felt I could relate with the character Isabella, in the story she was a soccer girl and pressured to be the best for her dad who wanted what she does now. She feels so much pressure she breaks rules and doesn't land on her favor.
Like I said there are many roles and I want to talk more about my role. The role I played was a actor and had so much fun being there, learning lines and being able to put a show to make not only the teacher proud but something everyone can enjoy. I felt that I did a lot for the play to make sure it was the best it could be bringing in clothes or things. I didn't want to let anyone down since I was the lead and honestly I love acting.
Things I've learned in this project was being able to do your job or do things that might not be your job but sometimes go over and beyond. Also learning that you need to rely on others to get you to do your best as well. I had lots of fun doing this project even with the actors and teachers. To sum up my this project it was something I am proud of I am proud I won an award and I realize hard work pays off.
